Preliminary Design of an Automated Transit System for the UW Campus, Phase II: Guideway Design, Graphic Design and Vehicle Proof of Concept.

Presentations run from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 on April 29, 2006 in the Agriculture Auditorium.

Abstract:  This is a continuation of the fall project examining the feasibility of an automated transit system for the UW campus.  The spring presentation examines the detailed guideway design, graphic arts thematic view of how the transit system may be presented to the public, vehicle design details and summarizes a proof of vehicle concept through the development of a model LIM powered vehicle system.

This project is a collaboration between senior design students in the College of Engineering and advanced graphic design students in the Department of Art.

Faculty mentors are Dr. Charles Dolan, Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and
Dr. Charles Egnaczak, Department of Art.
